He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Collett and Edna Mosley Collett; his wife Edith Smith Collett; his daughter Angela Lee Collett Feltner; and his brother Dexter Collett.

He is survived by: his daughter Mary Elizabeth Collett Hackworth (James) of Essie, KY; his brother Alfred Collett (Nila) of Asher, KY; and his grandchildren, Harper Quinn Hackworth, Everly Brown Hackworth and Leeland Isaac Monroe Hackworth.
