He was predeceased by: his parents, Deward Young and Marie Young (Best). He is survived by: his wife Patty Young of Erlanger; his children, JD Young (Juliann) of Independence and Katie Smith (Mike) of Union; his grandchildren, Connor, Bella, Aidan, Caleb, Ian Young of Independence, M. A., Nina, Reagan and Brad Smith of Union; and his siblings, Vernell Youngblood of Cincinnati, OH, Nancy Farris (John) of Kansas City, KS, Jim Young (Linda) of Cincinnati and Bob Young (Ellen) of Hebron.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Immanuel UMC Scholarship Fund.
