He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Hovel and Bertha Hovel; and his son Greg Hovel. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Hovel; his children, Steve Hovel, Tim Hovel (Julie), Krista Hovel-Brooks (Mark) and Angela Hovel; his grandchildren, Alex, Blaine (Katherine), Simon Hovel, Madeline and Wyatt Brooks; his great grandchild Parker Hovel; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Carolyn Eilerman and Marney Bresser.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Barbara Church (4042 Turkeyfoot Rd, Erlanger, KY 41018). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
