He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathy Detzel; his children, Dan Detzel (Kerry), Sarah Davidson (Craig) and Dave Detzel; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Jaden, Braxton, Jaxon, Bentley, Otto, Juliona, Braylen, Eleanor and Klara; and his brothers, Joe Detzel (Sue) and Rob Detzel.

The family has asked for memorial donations in lieu of flowers to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Covington.
