She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Dennis and Opal Dennis; her siblings, William Walter and Shirley Gaskins; and her stepmother Ann Dennis.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Eugene "Gene" Parker Barbour Jr.; her sons, Eugene Parker Barbour III, Steven Wesley Barbour and Jeffrey Lynn Barbour; her sister Dolores "Dee" Swearingen; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Amanda, Brandon, Christopher, James, Rhett and Katelyn; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Jesse, Everett, Titus, Hayden, Sophia, Pia, Ryan, Truett, Thoren, Evelyn, Jolene and Sonny.
