She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elizabeth Ludwig and Joseph Ludwig; her significant other Joseph Bessler; her sisters, Betty Jo Small and Shirley Rauf; her children, Joe Bessler (Ruthie), Mark Bessler (Martie), Mary Murrin (Tom), Linda Lorenz (Jerry), Rob Bessler (Mary), Cindy Biecker (Bill) and Tom Bessler (Laurie); her sister Sharon Conforti (Jim); and also Larry Ludwig (Joan). She was also cherished by 33 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

“Bessler/Ludwig family, Jerry and Carol Ling say. Laverne, a wonderful woman. I've known her as long as I have been friends with her brother Larry, +60 years. Actually, Larry and I were in her wedding to Joe and passed out literature at the church as youngsters. Laverne came from a great and loving family and created the same loving family together with her wonderful husband Joe. Always a sweet and friendly person, as was Joe and know she will be missed greatly. So sorry for your loss.”
