He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Fender and Vivian Fender; and his sister Melody Abernathy. He is survived by: his wife Linda Fender; and his children, Kristy Draughn (Jason) of Independence, Garry Fender Jr. (Nicole) of Indiana, David Sword (Danielle) of Walton, Steven Fender (Mary) of Edgewood, Tony Fender (Lindsey) of Independence and Amanda Roush (Mike) of Florence. He is also survived by 18 grandkids.
