He was predeceased by: his parents, Armor Clayton and Frances Fee Surber; his wife Sharon Gail Maggard; and his daughter Melissa Ann Surber. He is survived by: his children, Gina "Allen" Smith of Eolia, Kentucky. and Anthony "Amber" Surber of Cowan, Kentucky.; his siblings, Jerry Surber of Harlan, Steve Surber of Frankfort, Stanley Surber of Harlan, Kentucky. and Linda Maggard of Cumberland, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Tiffani Bradshaw, Austin Smith, Kammy Surber and Kynslee Surber; his great grandchildren, Ryder Bradshaw, Chase Bradshaw, Cooper Bradshaw and Penelope Smith; his brothers, Mike Surber and Cecil Surber; and his great grandchild Blayze Alexander Smith. He is also survived by friends especially his grandbabies and great-grandchildren.
