He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Owens and Mildred Cox Owens; and his granddaughter Brittany Owens. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Carolyn Caudill Owens; his children, James Patrick Owens, Leisa Horne (Johnny), Bobbie Padilla (Jose) and Tracey Craft (William); his brother Henry Earl Owens (Sue); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Santosmejia (DJ), Mallory Santosmejia, Kenzie Craft, Sydney Craft (Dylan), Ashlee Long (Ethan), Brandon Owens, Jessica Slone and Jaxon Slone; his close friends, Dale, Ruth Dickerson, Mary and Chalmer Craft; and his pet Piper.
