He is survived by: his wife Linnea Rains of Emlyn; his children, Karen Schoonover (Jeffrey) of Abilene and Curtis Rains Jr. of Emlyn; his grandsons, Zachary Schoonover and Logan Schoonover; his sisters, Carrie Strunk of Williamsburg and Martha Burke of Williamsburg; his sister-in-law Lois Faulkner of Williamsburg; his nephew Billy Burke of Williamsburg; and his niece Teresa Lambdin (Jimmy) of Williamsburg.
