As Billy Ray departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Billy Ray. Though Billy Ray may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his father Bob Smith; and his stepfather Glenn Capps. He is survived by: his son Glen Smith; his mother Mildred Capps; his fiancée May Smith; his sister Janie Peace; his stepdaughter Samantha Gross; his stepgrandchildren, Jada Hudson and Nicky Hudson; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kyle Hall, Gabriel Collette and Mendy Collette.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home (607 Master St, Corbin, KY 40701). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
