She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. John Chilton and Minnie Thomas Hartman (Coombs); her former husband Dr. Robert Lurton Houston, Jr.; her husband D. Kent Floyd; and her sister Helen Hartman Brammell.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Lurton Houston, III (Valerie) of Louisville, John Thomas Houston, MD (Cheryl) of Owensboro and William James "B. I." Houston (Debra) of Pewee Valley; her grandchildren, John Thomas Houston (Ellie) of Crescent Springs, KY, James Adam Houston (Kristin) of Crestwood, Robert Nolan Houston (Megan) of Owensboro, Porter Lynn O'Brien (Eamon) of Prospect, William Crawford Houston (Margaret) of Pewee Valley and Robert Taylor Houston (Meghan) of Washington, DC; her nephews, William Hartman Brammell (Ellie) of Eminence and James Haynes Brammell (Dianne) of New Castle; and her stepdaughters, Lucy Gowin (Tom) of Westport and Tandy Nash of Maysville.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Eminence Christian Church (5333 S Main St, Eminence, KY 40019). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
