He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Ludwig and Marie Ludwig; and his wife Edna S. Ludwig (Bivin). He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Lindell (Doug) and LaDonna Shaffer (Mike); his grandchildren, Krystal Miller (Chris), Garrett McElroy (K'Lee), Jessica Hassing (Tyler) and Brittany Lindell; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Miller, Grayson Miller, Lane Miller, Tucker McElroy, Paislee McElroy and Everly Hassing.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home (706 W Jefferson St, La Grange, KY 40031). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Valley of Rest Cemetery.
