He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Prewitt and Mary Prewitt (Quire). He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Prewitt (Louden) of Eminence; his children, Sheila Tingle (Christopher) of Staunton, IL and Christopher Prewitt of Eminence; his grandsons, Joshua Tingle (Valentin) of Edwardsville, IL and Matthew Tingle of Collinsville, IL.; and his brother Robert Prewitt (Debbie) of Frankfort.
