He was predeceased by: his wife Geneva Ashcraft Hoffman; his siblings, Robert Hoffman, Virginia Steuber and Evelyn Zembrodt; and his grandson Bradley Middleton.

He is survived by: his sister Evie; his daughters, Ruth Eger (Jeff) of Edgewood and Carol Middleton (Richard) of Erlanger; and his grandchildren, Ryan Eger (Brittany), Lindsey Armstrong (Andy), Kelsey Flannery (Sean) and Kyle Middleton. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
