It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Eulala Dukes (Elkton, Kentucky), who passed away on July 28, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Romeo Dukes; and her parents, Vernon "Ben" Latham and Gladys Evelyn Garrett Latham. She is survived by: her children, Vernon Owens of Cadiz, KY, Ronnie Owens of Louisville, KY, Kay Wair of Nashville, TN, Judy Massey of Powderly, KY, Connie Cooper (James) of Wellington, KS and Mary Ann Rice (Keith) of Elkton, KY; and her siblings, Drexil Latham of Russellville, KY and Deweese Steel of Bowling Green, KY. She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren.
