He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frances Shumate and Beulah Harris Shumate. He is survived by: his children, Johnny Shumate (Jami) of Goodlettsville, TN and Donna Pickerill (Bob) of Hopkinsville, KY; his grandchildren, Shane Pickerill (Leann), Carrie Stallons (Tyler) and Jordan Shumate; and his great grandchildren, Allie, Logan Pickerill, Cohen and Caroline Stallons.
