For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Joel and Edna Wilcox Joel; and his brother Daniel Joel. He is survived by: his wife Amy Joel of Elkton; his children, James Joel (Ana) of Minnesota, Daniel Joel of Minnesota, Josiah Cyphers of Kentucky, Anastasia Lauck of Minnesota and Allysah Hoolsema of Tennessee; and his sisters, Susan Gonsalez (Rafael) of Minnesota and Peggy Gonsalez (Salvador) of Minnesota. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
