He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wells and Dena Rager Wells; his wife Lucille Wells; and his grandson Barry Shemwell. He is survived by: his children, Dwayne Wells of Russellville and Teressa Shemwell (Larry) of Claymour; his brothers, Billy Joe Wells of Elkton and Russell Wells of Elkton; his close friend Mattie Hancock of Hopkinsville; his grandchildren, Brandon Shemwell (Debra), Ashlee Arnold (Lee) and Adam Wells (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Luke, Landen, Hannah Arnold, Axel, Lucy and Lynnon Wells.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Todd County Funeral Home & Cremation Services (720 W Main St, Elkton, KY 42220). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Stokes Chapel Cemetery Stokes Chapel.
