He is survived by: his wife Vertner Smith of Elkton, KY; his son Eurie Hayes Smith IV of Louisville, KY; his stepson Larry Marsalis of Calera, AL; his daughter Sara Smith of New York; and his siblings, William Hayden Smith of St, Louis, Gary Smith of Litchfield, KY, Ann Ross Fox of Austin, TX and Kay Biscopink of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
