He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Hylton Gortney; his children, Gavin Michael Gortney of Elkhorn City, KY. and Kristoffer Tyrus Gage Gortney of Elkhorn City, KY.; his sister Erin Coomer Reed of Kingsport, TN; his grandmother Patricia Ratliff; his close friend Chris "Byrd" Belcher; his parents-in-law, Grayson and Brenda Hylton; and his brother-in-law Matthew Hylton. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, niece, nephews, cousins and friends.
