It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julian Holbrooks of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 27, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Walter Holbrooks; and his brothers, James, Cleve and Jerry Holbrooks. He is survived by: his close friend Brenda Shell Griggs of Elkhorn City, KY; his children, Julian Keith Holbrooks of Campton, KY, Troy Hunt (Renee) of Wolfpit, KY, Brita Light (Billy) of Lexington, KY, Summer Thompson (Micky), Lanetta Tucker and Shannon Gillespie (Mike) of Shelbiana, KY; his grandchildren, Kiara Bailey (Colby), Emily Hunt (Dylan), Austin Daughterty, Shelby Hunt, Patty Tucker, Gabby Hunt, Allisa Light, Mattie Light, Dylan Thompson, Brenda Taylor (James), Addison Gillespie (Stephanie), Bentley Thompson, Ryleigh Thompson and Link Thompson; his great grandchildren, Waylon Daughtery, Jaslyn Morris, Ethan Dye, Jackson Dye, Ayden Gillispie and Emerson Gillispie; and his brothers, Ronnie Holbrooks of Lookout, KY, Malcolm Holbrooks of Lookout, KY, John Holbrooks of Lookout, KY and Eddie Holbrook of Sevierville, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
