With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emma Gene Slone of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, who passed away on June 13, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Stewart and Anna Swiney Hill; her former husband Lonnie Potter; her daughter Nina Potter; her stepchildren, David Slone and Margaret Looney; her brothers, Kenneth Stewart, Flaude Stewart and Ismael Stewart; her stepbrother Ira Hill; and her son-in-law Kent Deel.
She is survived by: her husband William Roosevelt Slone of Breaks, VA; her children, Leon Potter (Kelsie) of Shelby Gap, KY and Machelle Swiney (Darrell) of Elkhorn City, KY; her stepchildren, Terry Slone, Bobby Slone (Brenda), Joe Slone (Charity), Mary Moore (Mike), Katie Deel, Judy Mullins (Larry), Marcella Yates (Bennie) and Susie Yates (Tim); her children-in-law, Erdil Looney and Linda Slone; her sister Jacqueline Stewart; and her half-brothers, Johnny Hill and Burnis Hill. She is also survived by grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to New Freedom Worship Center, Jenkins, KY.
