He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hawkins and Gustie Swiney Hawkins; his wife Virginia "Jenny" Smith Hawkins; and his brother Edgar Hawkins. He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Hawkins of Lexington, KY, Kathy Slone of Elkhorn City, KY and Mary Hawkins Morton of Ashcamp, KY; and his siblings, James Edward Hawkins of Draffin, KY, Shelby Hawkins of Ashcamp, KY and Charlene Sykes of Tallahassee, FL.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
