He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Sifers and Clara Clevinger Sifers; his siblings, Jack, Raymond, Jimmy, Orville, Homer Sifers, Ival Potter and Effie Hamilton; and his stepson David Ratliff (Sandy).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Ratliff Sifers of Elkhorn City, KY; his stepchildren, Timothy Ratliff (Jequita) of Clintwood, VA, Mark Ratliff of Lexington, KY, Darron Ratliff (Fredia) of Elkhorn City, KY, Beverly Bales (Ken) of Nicholasville, KY and Teresa Epling (Ben) of Regina, KY; his grandchildren, Keaggy Ratliff, Cody Ratliff, Alex Ratliff, Dana Cronkhite, Stevie West, Matt Epling, Nic Epling, Bemedji Epling, Jacob Ratliff, Andrew Ratliff, Adam Ratliff, Hannah Billiter and Katie Ratliff; and his great grandchildren, Reese David, Lindy, Ashlyn, Colton, Lucy, Penny, Jolie, Callen, Emryn, Evan, Gavin, Eleanor, Elliott, Parker, Lilith and Teagan.
In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Elkhorn City First Church of God.
