He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Adams and Rubye Adams; and his brothers, Dale Adams and Elroy Adams. He is survived by: his wife Doris Grubbs Adams; his children, Darrell Adams (LaTina), Joni Melloan (Johnny) of Elizabethtown and Gerald Adams (Becky) of Deatsville; and his sister-in-law Betsy Deaton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; two sisters.
