He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Rose; and his sons, David Rose and Danny Rose. He is survived by: his children, Darlita Smith (David) and Tony Meadows; his grandchildren, Kaimi Roberts (Jeremiah), Brian Basham (Jamie), Billy Rose, Sarah Maher (Alex), Megan Rose and Jessica Clark; his great grandchildren, Tyler McKenzie, Kenzie Roberts, Devon Basham and Raylan Basham; and his brother Larry Rose. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
