It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vernie Jean Coy of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, who passed away on June 22, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Coy and Grace Daugherty Coy; and his children, Karen Gay and Vernie Jean Coy, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Dean Snowden Coy; his children, Rose Bush, Debbie Hayslip, Twyla Young and John Coy; and his grandchildren, Chris Hayslip, Zach Hayslip, Chuck Young, Jennifer Boudreau, Leslie Beecham, Kristen Hatfield, Mark Coy Johnson, Amber Jordan and Tina Cunningham. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
