Penny Lou Chance Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Penny Lou Chance of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, who passed away on March 10, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Cothern and Viola Brown Cothern; her brothers, Raymond, Charles Cothern and Billy Tanner; her nephews, Shayne Cothern and Tracey Hack; and her pet Chow.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Emerson (Stephanie Gillis), Chad Emerson (Brittney Reneau) and Nicole Hawkins (Derek); her granddaughter Evelyn Hawkins; her former husband Thomas Chance; her siblings, Sue Hack (Gary Riggs), Sandy Riggs, Patty Sullivan and Mark Cothern (Carol); and her cousin George Bradbury. She is also survived by cats and countless close family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boston Community Center (61 Lebanon Junction Rd, Boston, KY 40107).
