She was predeceased by: her husband Charles L. Turner; her parents, Raymond Duell and Thelma Vertrees Duell; and her brother Kenneth Vertrees Duell. She is survived by: her children, Beverly Turner Andrews (Charles) of Raleigh and Dr. Mark Duell Turner (Sybil Turner); and her grandchildren, Charles Joseph Turner and Grace Katherine Turner of Washington, D. C..
