He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Newton and Myrtle Heath Newton; and his brothers, Everett Newton, Jr., Lewis Newton and Jimmy Newton.
He is survived by: his sons, Keith of Elizabethtown and Kevin Newton of Elizabethtown; his siblings, Lawrence Newton (Tami) of Leitchfield, Tommy Newton (Pat) of Butler County, Earl Newton (Dottie) of Louisville, Ruth Ann Meredith (Ralph) of Hardin County and Judy Haycraft (Ralph) of Leitchfield; and his grandsons, Stephen Newton (Heather) and Ryan Newton.
