He was predeceased by: his son Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Judy Hammond of Elizabethtown; his children, Joseph Hammond, Jr. of Rineyville, KY, Susan Spencer (Michael) of Shepherdsville, KY and Mark Hammond (Jennifer) of Mount Washington, KY; his daughter-in-law Anita Hammond of Louisville, KY; his sisters, Rosalind Coles and Patty; his grandchildren, Kayla Honaker (Joseph), Emily Thomas (Clayton), Nicholas Hammond (Dawn), Alan Spencer (Kendra), Bree Reed (Stephen), Chase Hammond, Will Spencer (Karlee), Brock Hammond and Sarah Hammond; and his great grandchildren, Bella, Brantley, Cole, Holden Honaker and Keller Hammond.
