It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Gilbert of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 22, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Raymond Gilbert and Delora "Parks" Gilbert; his nephew Brian Mitchell Luckett; his grandparents, James, Myrtle Parks, Huey and Dora Gilbert; his wife Susan Gilbert; his daughter Kayla Gilbert; his siblings, Regina Penick Alice Gilbert (Paul), Belinda Bostic (Darryl) and Tim Gilbert (Brenda); and his nephew Keith Gilbert (Kristy).
