He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sylvester Blair and Lucy Atcher Blair. He is survived by: his wife Freda Blair; his children, Maronica Blair Goad, Richard Montgomery Blair (Rebecca) and Chadwick Dean Blair (Angela); his stepchildren, Janet Gray, Deborah Stowe and David Kinser (Tara); his grandchildren, Caroline Sain (Kyle), Melanie Valekis (Joey), Richard Montgomery Blair II (Angela) and Crystal Rogers (Eric); his stepgrandchildren, Robert Holman (Jaime), Jessica Casswell, James Thomas Gray (Sherly), Stacey Stowe and Rebecca Whitaker (Joey); his siblings, Edith Ernspiker, Melvin Russell Blair (Jan) and Stanley Blair (Peggy); and his sister-in-law Peggy Blair. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Leak Memory Chapel from 10:15 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Memorials can be made to one's charity of choice.
