He was predeceased by: his father John N Aleshire; his former wife Norma Jean Aleshire (Adkins); his mother Lula Aleshire Tomblin; his stepfather Bob Tomblin; and his siblings, Ray, John, Louise Large Aleshire and Janet Sue Byler Aleshire.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma Jean Aleshire (Dutschke); his sons, Allen Aleshire (Gracie) of Cloudcraft, NM, Mike (Sandy Aleshire), Mark Aleshire (Karen) of Radccliff, KY and Scott Aleshire (Kim) of Brandenburg, KY; and his siblings, Margaret Coyle of Brandenburg, KY, Pat Hatfield of Denville, WV and Don Aleshire of Brandenburg, KY. He is also survived by four grandchildren; one great grandchild.
