It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Neal Forbes (Elizabethtown, Kentucky), who passed away on May 24, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Katherine Brooke Forbes; and his parents, Howard Forbes and Virginia McKinney Forbes. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ewen-Forbes of Elizabethtown; his children, Bryan N. Forbes (Rosa) of Bristol, Robert Gibson (Jayme) of Lewisport, Kentucky and Pamela Ross (Rick) of Elizabethtown; his granddaughters, Michaela Forbes of Dayton, Madeline Forbes of Bristol and Allyson Ross Trombley of Elizabethtown; and his great grandchild Liam Trombley.

“Phyllis, I am so very sorry for your loss. I did not find out about George Neal's passing until today. It was a shock to me and John R. (my brother) both. Had I known, I certainly would have reached out to you sooner. George Neal was our very close cousin and playmate throughout our childhood in Richmond. My parents, "Uncle John and Aunt Vi" Forbes were very close to George as well and he honored them by coming to their funeral services several years ago. He will be missed. "Cuz" Sue”
