He was predeceased by: his parents, John Griffin and Emma Burns Griffin; his daughter Angela Griffin; his grandson Christon Hodrick; and his siblings, Earsel Griffin, Odessa and Angela Peeler.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Libby" of Elizabethtown, KY; his children, Edward D. Griffin, Diana Griffin, Traci Griffin and Tonga Hodrick; his grandchildren, John, Joshua, Marcus and Shay; his great grandchild Kaymori Nicole; and his siblings, Veron Peeler, Lynn Peeler (Marla), Herman Peeler, Timothy Peeler, William Peeler (Veronica), Glenn Peeler (Pam), Ruby Wright (William), Ernestine Peeler, Banessa Strickland, Patricia Davidson, Evelyn Peeler and Yvonne Peeler.
