She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel William Coffman; her son Samuel William Coffman, Jr.; her parents, Leslie E. Yates and Ada Lee Ward Yates; and her brothers, Charles and Leslie E. Yates, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Doris Bird, Edna Sheeley, Joann Geary, Brenda Dawson and Darlene Stillwell. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
