He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Whitley and Mae Ferguson Whitley; his wife Gwendolyn Kelly Whitley; and his brothers, Dean Whitley, Lewis Whitley, Joe Whitley, Rev. Jerry Whitley and Howard Whitley.
He is survived by: his sons, Marcus Whitley (Stacey) of Leitchfield and Donnie Whitley of Elizabethtown; his grandchildren, Landon Pauley Whitley, Sydne Hope Whitley, Ian Hinson and Ethan Hinson (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Aubrey Hinson, Keaston Hinson and Ahliana Hinson; his sister Charlotte Callahan; and his pet Beng.
