She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Pearson and Dorothy Glasscock Pearson; her husband George Wallace Shirley; and her siblings, Joe David Pearson, Martha Parrish and Peggy Greathouse.
She is survived by: her children, Emily Lawler (Kelly) and Wesley Shirley (Jerry Smith); her siblings, Betty Thomas (David), Suzanne McLellan, Bobby Pearson and Richey Pearson (LeeAnn); and her grandchildren, Sarah Lawler and Samuel Lawler. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel (820 Lovers Ln, Bowling Green, KY 42103). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Union Chapel Cemetery (J Bell Rd, Kentucky 42129).
