It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alda Faye Shemwell of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 19, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Holman and Cynthia Holman; her husband Robert Dickerson; her sisters, Charlotte and Gail Shemwell; and her grandchild Tiera Shemwell.

She is survived by: her children, Makeba D. Dickerson (Garnell), Kalimah A. Shemwell (LaSonia), Nikkio D. Dickerson, Tariya S. Shemwell (Torune) and Aaisha Shemwell (Clarence); and her siblings, Kevin Shemwell, Quin (Etta Buchanan-Brown) and Faye Johnson. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
