With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Hornsby of Elcomb, Kentucky, who passed away on December 26, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Delores Osborne Myers and Cecil Myers of Coalgood, KY.; her spouse Elzo Hornsby; her brother JC Myers; and her grandson Bobby.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie Hornsby (Sue) of Gulston, Robert Hornsby (Pat) of Totz, Debra Long (Huey) of Wallins, Lisa Hyde (Steve) of Pennington Gap, VA, Tammy Wright (Nick) of Elcomb, Randy Hornsby (Melissa) of Elcomb and Sandy Johnson (Scott) of Andersonville, TN.; her grandchildren, Robbie, Jason, Ariel Hornsby, Grubbs, Christie Wright Johnson, Nicholas Wright, Cierra Hyde, Zachary, Caitlyn Hornsby, Stephen King and Alexis King Fisher; and her close friends, Mary Katherine Peters and Marie Burnett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
