It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Edward Koons of Ekron, Kentucky, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Martha Koons (Walton) and Cecil Shaw Koons; and his daughter Lindsay Rima Koons. He is survived by: his wife Linda Koons (Chappell) of Ekron, KY; his children, Cassandra L. Wilson (Todd) of Ekron, KY, Aboli M. Gleason (Bryce) of Louisville, KY, Robert S. Koons (Connie) of LaGrange, KY and Matthew S. Koons (Belkis) of Villa Hills, KY; and his siblings, Mary Lou Weller (Coy), Sue McCardle of Rising Sun, IN, Beverly Hillman (Tim) of Rising Sun, IN, Patricia Carter (Bob) of Rising Sun, IN, Jerry Koons (Barb) of Rising Sun, IN and Wayne Koons (Carol) of Searcy, AK. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
