She was predeceased by: her husband Harold E. Dowell; her son David E. Dowell; her parents, William "Bill" and Nannie Lawson (Wardrip); and her siblings, Edward, David Henry, Carl, Donnie Lawson and Alberta Shelman.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Dowell, Falls of Rough, KY, Susan Menken (Daniel), Ruth Scott, Alan Dowell and Kenneth Dowell (Kim); and her brother Joe Lawson (Anna). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
