He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mobley and Joyce Morffew Mobley; and his sister Shirley Wright. He is survived by: his children, Carey Mobley (Chrissy), Kim Lewis (Gale) and Linda Bell (Matt); his grandchildren, Heather MacGeorge, Ashley March (Brian), Jacob Mitchell, Cameron Rieber and Jaimee Bennett (Caleb); his great grandchildren, Olivia, Avery, Braden and Dalton; and his brother David Mobley (Vickie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Dog.

Memorial donations in John's honor should be directed to Juvenile Diabetes.
