The passing of Nancy Lorraine Grider of Edmonton, Kentucky, born in Indianapolis, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 28, 2024 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her mother Esther Lorraine Akers; and her siblings, Zella Greene, Susie Flowers, Jeanette Phillips and David Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Lonnie Charles Grider; her children, Petsie Ford (Chad), Charlotte Rouse (Bobby) and George Grider; and her siblings, Deborah Combs, Dinneen Goodner (Bill), Bud Smith and Roy Smith (Brenda). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 8:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home (2232 Summer Shade Rd, Summer Shade, KY 42166).
