She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton and Vera; her husband Edward Gassaway; and her son Jeffery Scott Gassaway. She is survived by: her sons, Mark Gassaway of Glasgow, KY and Eddie Gassaway of Edmonton, KY; her grandsons, Anthony Gassaway (Jennifer), Beau Hurt (Courtney), Justin Wheeler (Amanda) and Aaron Wheeler (Sara); and also England. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
