He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth James and Elva James (Alvey); and his siblings, Joy Howell, Wayne James, Bobby James and Paul Michael James.
He is survived by: his wife Linda James; his children, Dennis James, Jr. (Abby), Evansville, Crystal Frost (Manuel Leon) of Foster City, CA, Becky Northerner (Gary) and Rome; his grandchildren, Gabriel, Isabelle James, Brendan, Darcy Frost and Lex Northerner; his great grandchildren, Tyler Fulkerson and Rachelle Northerner; and his siblings, Richard James, Derby, Patty Shelton (Dale), Alton, Carol Kleaving (Steve), Billy James (Penny) and Cannelton Preceding.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rome Volunteer Fire Department, Rome Courthouse or Rome United Methodist Church.
