He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Andrew and Mary Ion Grant Clemons. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Edward McCormick; his wife Karen Humphrey; his sister Brenda McCormick of Louisville; and his parents-in-law, Billy and Shirley Humphrey.

He was a member of the Foundation Methodist Church.
