He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin and Ruth Casterline Patton; and his brothers, Donald and Lowell Patton. He is survived by: his children, Byron Patton (Christel) of Colora, Miles Patton (Melissa) of Wilmington and Amy Kerr (Richard) of Edmonton, KY; his grandchildren, Christopher, Paige, Alisha Patton, Cynthia Gemmill (Tom) and Jessica Pippin (Adam); his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Corbin, Richard Bolt III, Corine Irwin, Trent, Vivian Gemmill, Justine, Aspen Pippin and Leo Patton; his great great grandchild Gracie Lobb; and his siblings, Osbert of Pennsylvania, Steven Patton of Pennsylvania, Julia Kovalick of Pennsylvania, Sara McGovern of Pennsylvania, Louisa Clark of Pennsylvania and Marlene Belles of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Liletown Cemetery Fund.
